PHOOL ANEK, MAHEK EK

            “ Phool Anek, Mahek Ek” is a docudrama conveying the message of communal harmony. The central character of the film is Parth (played by Shyam Shah) Parth had served as an air-force pilot during wartime. He had lost one leg in the battle. He was granted an early retirement. Co-incidentally he had lost his parents to communal riots. Now he stays with his uncle (Devkumar Shah) who is full of hard feelings for people from other religiouns. 

             The film begins with the entry of Parth, who brings a wounded Muslim youth Salim (Pankaj Goswami) to his home. His uncle does not like it. But Parth ignores him and serves the young boy. Parth understands the value of peace among countrymen as he himself has participated into war with external enemies. 

            

              Meanwhile Salim experience a divine dream. In his dream he encounters the religioun in human form (Krupadev Yagnik). He is wounded with arrows, sword, bullets etc. ironically the religioun looks very unhappy and disturbed. Salim asks him the reason. In the reply he learns how the so-called religious people have damaged the religioun so far. This is the key sequence of the film.

              Ultimately with their united efforts Parth and Salim successfully defuse the situation of communal unrest from the town. Paritosh Goswami & Kiran Pandya also played other major characters. The music was scored by Brij Joshi.

              Shyam received the STATE AWARD FOR THE BEST TV DOCUMENTARY OF THE YEAR for his maiden film .
