            A united artists production, year 1952.

            The film was directed by fred zinnemann & the script writer by Carl Foreman. The film started Gary cooper and grace Kally. It was a western film about a resolute, courageous sheriff who faces four bandits at high noon. Gary Cooper won an Oscar for his perfomrmance in this film.

 

   

The Bad and The Beautiful:

      Made with the Hollywood backdrop the film was inspired by many real life characters. It was a story of rise and fall of an ambitious and tough Hollywood producer (played by Kirk Douglas). The film was directed by Vincente Minnelli, it sharred Lana Turner, Kirk Douglas, Walter Pidgeon, Dick Powell and Barry Sullivan.

   

Julius Caesar:       

     

  

              Produced by John Houseman and Directed by Joseph Mankiewicz, the film was based upon a short play by Shakespeare. The film was made in Black & White and the Director preferred to stick to the original style of presentation as in the Shakespeare’s play. Marlon Brando played Mark Antony. He portrayed the character of Mark Antony very effictively. John Gielgud (as Casssins) and James Mason (as Brutus) also performed excellently.

        A Twentieth Century – Fox production. Year 1953.

    

       

 

           Marilyn Monroe’s performance as Loreli Lee gave a boost to her career. The musical was about two girls who go out looking for men to amuse them. The film also starred Jane Russell with Marilyn Monroe.

 

                     The film was a great success. It was directed by Howard Hawks.
